今朝はジムのテレビで ニューヨーク シティ マラソン に参加しました。

わたしの場合は３０分でリタイアしましたが。
でもいつもよりは楽に走れた気がしました。

ミシンって箱に入れてしまうと（片づけてしまうと）もう出して来るのが面倒になりますね。
で、子供用のミニを買おうかと思ってたけど

今日は最大難易度の配水工事に来てくれたんだけど
９時から１２時の予定が９時過ぎても来てくれない。
１０時になっても来なかったら会社に連絡するかなと考えた。
そしたら１０時少し前に来た。
ま、いろいろ準備があるんだろうから構わない。
問題はココから。
１週間前にはうちのスタックの人や両隣のスタックの人には午前中断水するとのお知らせが行ってて
スタックって１号室なら０１号室１１号室２１号室みたいな縦の階のことね
今朝わたしも確認の「うちで配管工事を９時から正午までする」とセキュリティに連絡したのに
なんと！
誰も知らないワケ。
水を止めるなんて誰も聞いてないから大騒ぎ。
ヲイヲイ断水のお知らせを各戸に配ったのはアンタ達だろーがー
だから配水工事の人が遅れて来たんだろうけど
ココで手間取って水を止めて工事を始めたのが１０時４５分あたりから。
ま
２時間で終了して
ドライウオールの人に連絡してくれたので
あとは壁の修繕です。
なんなんだろうね南洋マインドって。

今朝はジムでアジア女性にとっ捕まってエンエンとおしゃべりすることになり
彼女は姑根性を出して来てシッカリわたしをコントロールしたがり始めました。
アジア系女性のこういうのがイヤ
なんか身上調査されて挙句は資産確認をされ挙句に何やらアドバイスまでくれたのだけど
言葉がイマイチ何を言ってるか分からなくて 例えば ファンシーって言ってるのかと思ったら パンチボウル だったり。
香港爺さんがタイチー（太極拳）から戻って来て一緒に帰宅しました。
結局３０分ぐらい身体を動かしただけでした。

昔むかし日本でまだ腰掛けてた頃わたしより少し若い同僚がいて彼女がオバサン達をすっごく嫌ってて
如何にオバサン達の追及をかわすかを伝授してくれたものです。
今朝のオバサンには通じなかったけど
オバサンって若い子を見るといろいろプライバシーを聞きたがり
ちょっと年齢の行った子には恋愛状況を告白させ
結婚してないと知ると 離婚したの？ と核心をスグに発見し（笑）
アジア系のオバサンの嫌なところって なんで離婚したのか？ など ソコから新たな楽しみ を見つけるのよね。
白人系は 離婚？ とソコで話が終了するんだけど。
今朝のオバサンはまさにそういう系でした。

今朝のオバサンの場合は このタワマンをどうやって買ったのか？固定資産税はどのぐらいか？死んだらどうするのか？ など色々訊かれました。

ポパイのチキンサンドが大人気で殺人事件まで起きたハナシは知っています。

家族の熱烈なリクエストに応えて、昨日の夕飯は例の世を賑わせているチキンサンドイッチとなりました。
１８時にポパイに着き、ドアのところまで人の列。
およそ20人。
近所にあるにもかかわらず、行ったのは初めて。
待つこと40分、やっと買えて家に帰ると家族から大歓声で迎えられ（チキンサンドイッチが）、
「いうても、それ程でもないでしょーーー」と思って食べてみると、
いやーーーー、おいしい！
ポパイ（やKFC系)のチキン自体たべたのが10年かそこらぶりだったせいか、
とってもおいしかったです。
ジャンクをあまり食べない私ですが、それでもおいしかった～！
みんなが狂喜乱舞（使い方あってるでしょうか・・汗）のもわかる気がしました。
私の数人前のティーンが頼んでいたVoodooソースが、これまた予想外にイケました。

私も昨日ニュースで話題になっていたので、買ってみました。
田舎なので、お昼時にドライブスルーに行っても全然待たずに買えました。
ニュースでやってましたが、
ワシントンDCの方ではこのチキンサンドを買おうと並んでいて横入りした客と口論になってナイフで刺し、死亡事故まで起きたそうですよ。
すごいですね。。。
そんなニュースもあって、ますます大旋風になっているようです。
チキンの胸肉がちゃんとパサパサにならずジューシーなまま調理してあったのが美味しかったですが、
そこまでクレイジーになる程美味しいとも思えなかったのですが、、、
ソースが秘訣なのですか？
普通のBBQソースをつけてもらったのですが、VooDooソースというのでまた試してみたいと思います。

食べたけど別に普通チックフィレと変わらないような
実はポパイで騙されそうになったことが数回ある
一度はマイルドチキンとシュリンプポップコーンを買ったら
チキンの中にシュリンプひとつだけ
恐ろしいことに匂いだけならチキンとシュリンプ
開けたらシュリンプ一つだけ、
車内で確認したから良かった。
たまにふざけた仕事する人がいますよね、あれやだ。
だから毎回車内で確認しています。
ポパイだけじゃないでしょうが、ドライブスルーは確認必要。

日本のケンタッキー、チキンフィレサンドみたいと思いました。

はい、とても美味しかったです。
チキンを挟んだだけの極めてシンプルなケンチキバーガーといった感じです。
あれだけ騒がれるのはあの安さのせいでしょうか。
私は話題だから並んでみましたが、
もし本当にチキンバーガーが食べたかったらchick fil aにいきます。
POPEYEはチキンが大きくてクリスピーさは完璧なんですが、
Chick--にあるジューシーさに欠けると思いました。
余談ですが。。。
この度初めてPOPEYEに並び、暇なので店のサインをぼーっと眺めていた時。
初めてPOPEYEと言う名前が「Pop-Eye」と言うことに気がつきました！
今まで知らずに40年も生きてきたのは私だけですか？
ポパイ、では気がつかなかったんですが、ポップ・アイなの！？と驚き、
思わず前と後ろに並んでいた人達に「そう言う意味？」と聞いてしまいました。
彼らは「他にどう言う意味なの～？」と笑っていました。

発売当初（8月だったかな？）の騒ぎはまるで知らなかったのですが、
今回ニュースで目にしたので私も食べてみました！
夕方４時前後の早い時間にドライブスルーしたのですが、
私が待っている間後ろから次々と車が入ってきて、
みるみるうちに道路まではみ出る列が出来て「たくさんの人が押しかけてる」というニュースは本当だったんだなあ…と思いました。
ドライブスルーでなくても、店に出入りしている人たちを見るとやっぱりアフリカ系のお客さんばかりでした。

クラッシックとスパイシーの両方を食べたのですが、
Voodooソースは品切れでゲット出来ず。
そのまま食べました。
スパイシーはバンズに塗られてるスパイシーソースが予想以上にピリ辛。
チキン自体は肉厚でサクサクの衣でなかなか美味。
見かけほど油っぽくはなかったです。
皆さんレスされているように、私も日本で好きだったKFCのチキンフィレサンドを思い出しました。
ただ付け合わせがピクルスのみという至極シンプルなサンドウィッチなので、
私は新鮮なレタスやトマト、オニオンスライスなんかと一緒に食べたいなあ。
ちょっぴりマヨも付けて。
私の結論：不味くはなくそれなりに美味しいけど、数十分並んで（ましてや喧嘩や命を落としてまで！！）食べるほどのものでは無い。
今回興味があって食べましたが、騒ぎが収まったらVoodooソースも試してみたいかな？

オリジナルはプレーン、スパイシーはその名の通り辛いソース付き。
あなたの好みまではわかりませんので、何種類もあるわけじゃない上１つ＄3.99なんだし両方買ってみたら？
ソースもVoodooに興味があればサイドでオーダーすればいいし、通常のBBQやランチが好きだったらそれを付けてみて食べたら？

今日は９時頃ドライウオールの工事の人が来るので

ところが 新しい山椒の瓶の中蓋を外して そのまま魚にぶっ掛けてしまいました。

山椒って柑橘系の爽やかな香りなんですねぇ。

そして舌先がピリピリ痺れたまま。

本日のドライウォール工事
１時間ほど前に帰って行きました。
１時間ほどの作業で３万円。
ビックリした。

せいぜい２万あたりだろうと思ってた。
テキトーだしね。
最後に紙やすりをかけると言いながら
相棒さんが車に取りに行ったものの
どこにあるか分からずに
結局やすり無しになりました。
でも３万円払った。

うちのヌケ作管理人。
昨日「（今日）ドライウォールを直しに来る」と連絡したら「大きな音を立てるのか」と訊いたから「全然だよ。ちょっといじるだけ」と答えた。
今朝業者が来てなんか入口でもめたらしい。
９時に来ることになってたのに全然来なくて結局９時４５分に上がって来た。
なんか業者とヌケ作がこじれてたらしい。
エレベーターで上げてくれなかったらしい。
結局何回か電話でやり取りして上がって来た。
その後 ヌケ作オンナが上がって来て 「音がうるさいって苦情が出てる」だって。
音の出るようなことはやってない。
話し声が１番大きくて作業の音はドライウォールをカミソリで切る程度の音。
だから音なんかしてない。
なのにウロウロウロウロ音が出るのを期待してるんだろうな
だから「音は立てない作業」と言ってるのに。
たぶんドライウォールの修繕ということで入口でもめてたんだろうな。
「苦情が出てる」とかさ

昨日今日とウォルマートに買い出しでした。
カートを２つ持って行かないといけない量を買いました。

Nathaniel Berhow has been identified as the 16-year-old suspect in a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California, that has left at least two people dead and four people, including the suspect, injured. Berhow, a sophomore at the high school, pulled a gun out of his backpack and opened fire on his classmates on his 16th birthday, police say.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy died as a result of the shooting. Three victims remain hospitalized, including a 14-year-old boy and two girls, ages 15 and 14, who are not critical, the sheriff’s office said.
Berhow, who shot himself in the head, remains hospitalized and was referred to as being in “grave condition.” The names of the victims have not been released. There has been confusion about how many victims died in the shooting. ABC News and other outlets reported that a third student had died, but the sheriff’s office said they can only confirm two deaths.

1. The Suspect’s Gun Was Empty When It Was Recovered by Authorities
A motive and other details about the shooting have not been made public. “That’s going to take us a while to go through,” Sheriff Villanueva said of the investigation into what led to the shooting. The sheriff later told the media that when authorities retrieved the gun used in the shooting, a .45 caliber handgun, it was empty.
Officials said that surveillance footage from the shooting showed the suspect remove the gun from his backpack before shooting at five students. The video then shows the suspect shooting himself in the head. The entire shooting, which occurred in a crowded quad area, lasted 16 seconds, authorities said. Students were headed to first-period classes at 7:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.

Police believed the gunman fled from the school after the shooting and began a search for him, releasing a description calling him a 15- or 16-year-old Asian male wearing a black hat, a black shirt or sweatshirt and blue jeans. Saugus High School’s student body is made up of 7 percent Asian students. Live helicopter video from a house nearby to Saugus High School shortly after the shooting showed sheriff’s deputies attempting to gain access.
Erroneous reports suggesting that the shooter had died were later amended to say that he was in critical condition and was being transported to a nearby hospital along with the victims.
Police obtained a warrant to search a home believed to be connected to the suspect, Sheriff Alex Villanueva told KTLA-TV.

The house is located a few miles away from the high school. CBS Los Angeles reports that Berhow lived at the home with his family. Local TV camera showed sheriff’s deputies as well as ATF and FBI investigator on the scene at the home.

Speaking to Fox Los Angeles, a student named Maxwell said that Berhow hadn’t been “acting like himself” in the days leading up to the shooting. Maxwell said, “As far as I could tell from the recent days that I’ve seen him, he was looking kind of down and I guess just kind of depressed about something. I didn’t really ask him what it was that he was depressed about, but from what I could tell he was different. He wasn’t acting like himself.”

Nathaniel Berhow was listed as taking part in a track meet in Santa Clarita where he represented Saugus High School. The meet was held in Central Park on September 19. Two months later Central Park was the location of the reunification point between parents and students following the Saugus High School shooting. A vigil for the victims of the shooting will be held at Central Park on November 17 at 7 p.m. local time.
The Los Angeles Times cited friends in referring to the suspect as a “quiet kid.”
He was in the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts, according to his father’s obituary and posts on social media by those in his Boy Scout troop.
5. An Instagram Account With a Message ‘Saugus Have Fun at School Tomorrow’ Is Being Investigated by Authorities, but Instagram Said It Didn’t Belong to the Shooter
Following the shooting, Twitter users began highlighting an Instagram account named Nibba_Leader. The bio on that page read, “Saugus have fun at school tomorrow.” The account, which has since been deleted or taken down by Instagram, did not have any posts or photos that connected to Nathaniel Berhow. It appeared to have been created about a week ago and posted only memes and joke videos. But comments by the sheriff’s office late Thursday added to the confusion about whether it belonged to the shooter.
Sheriff’s Captain Kent Wegener told reporters he wanted to “acknowledge a posting on the bio of what we believe to be the subject’s Instagram account. It says underneath his pseudonym, ‘Saugus have fun at school tomorrow.’ I can confirm that was posted on his account and I can also confirm that it has been changed since this incident, which means that there is someone else who has access to this account, be it a hacker or be it a friendly who has his password. So that was posted at one point and we are aware of it and we are researching the source, when it was placed and when it was taken down.”
But Instagram told BuzzFeed News’ Jane Lytvynenko the account did not belong to the shooter. “We disabled the account for violating our policies. We can confirm it did not belong to the shooter,” Instagram said in a statement to the BuzzFeed reporter.
Signs pointed toward it being a troll attempt by someone not associated with the gunman. The account claimed to be trying to get “clout” by pretending to be the shooter. After the shooting, the bio on the account was changed to say, “THE #1 worst meme account on Instagram,” and a photo of a clown face was uploaded.

Wegener told the media following the shooting, “I can tell you that we have checked for recent threats involving Saugus High School. We identified two which were both investigated and had no nexus to this subject.”
While a Saugus student told CBS Los Angeles he reported that Nibba_Leader account to students. That student said, “We found an Instagram account, like in their bio, it said ‘Saugus have fun at school tomorrow,’ so I got like speechless and I didn’t know what to do, so I reported it to police.”

Santa Clarita is a city of about 200,000 located about 40 miles away from downtown Los Angeles. About 2,400 students attended Saugus High School, located at 21900 Centurion Way. The school is part of the William S. Hart Union High School District.
The school’s Wikipedia page says that the campus has been used for filming for multiple TV shows and movies. That page also says that the school boasts numerous actors and celebrities among its alumni.
According to the sheriff’s office, “ALL Hart District Schools will be closed Friday, Nov. 15, out of respect for victims, families and to allow students, staff to process feelings. District counselors will be available tonight 5-7 p.m. at Santa Clarita Activities Center, 20880 Centre Pointe Pkwy.”

３人死亡の物流倉庫火災、経験４０年の溶接工を書類送検…「迷走電流」発生か

東京都大田区のマルハニチロ物流「城南島物流センター」で２月、作業員ら３人が死亡した火災。
発表によると、男は２月１２日午後１時半頃、同センター屋上で、冷凍機入れ替えに伴う配管の溶接をした際、作業時に取るべき安全対策を怠って出火させ、５階付近約６６０平方メートルを焼き、荷役作業などをしていた５３歳の男性２人と４８歳の男性の計３人を一酸化炭素中毒などで死亡させた疑い。
溶接作業では、「渡り」と呼ばれる金属棒を使って電気が流れる回路を作り、建物などに通電しないようにする必要があった。男が「渡り」を使わなかったため、予期しない場所に通電する「迷走電流」が起き、作業場所から約２０メートル先の壁が過熱し、
ここ迄は分かった。

警視庁組対5課vsマトリ
日本には違法薬物の取り締まりを担う捜査機関が2つある。
ひとつは警察で、
沢尻エリカ（33）を逮捕した「警視庁組織犯罪対策5課（以下、組対5課）」を始め各県警に担当部署がある。
組対5課は約200人の捜査員を擁し、巨大な組織力で違法薬物や銃器対策の捜査にあたってきた。
もうひとつが、マトリこと「厚労省地方厚生局麻薬取締部」。
東京・九段下に本部があり、その他全国8か所の地方厚生局に置かれている。
マトリ捜査官は「司法警察職員」という国家公務員にあたり、捜査権・逮捕権に加えて拳銃の所持も認められている。
現在、マトリの捜査官は全国で300人ほど。
関東厚生局所属はわずか数十人しかいない。
警察組織に比べればはるかに規模は小さいが、マトリだけが使える“武器”がある。
麻薬取締法58条で認められている『おとり捜査』だ。
捜査官は売人を泳がせたり、ヤクザの組事務所に潜入することもある。
「マトリと組対は長年、“犬猿の仲”だった。いまは互いの交流もあるが、競い合う関係であることは事実です」

It has been 10 months since unsealed federal court documents revealed that U.S. immigration officials created a fake university to lure foreign-born college students who were trying to stay in the country on student visas that might not have been legal.
The University of Farmington, a fictitious school that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement marketed as a hub for STEM students who wanted to enroll and not “interrupt their careers,” had a fake name, a fake website and a fake motto on its fake seal. “Scientia et Labor,” the seal said, which means “Knowledge and Work.”
In January, eight people who allegedly worked as “recruiters” for the school and collectively helped at least 600 students remain in the country under false pretenses were charged with federal conspiracy. At the time, the Detroit News reported that dozens of University of Farmington students — many of them Indian nationals — were arrested for immigration violations and faced deportation.
Now, according to ICE, that number has jumped to about 250 students. Those arrests took place between January and July of this year, ICE said in a statement first reported by the Detroit Free Press and obtained by The Washington Post. Most of the arrests happened in February, immigration officials said.

The newspaper reported the names of those recruiters and their sentences as follows: Barath Kakireddy, 29, of Lake Mary, Fla., 18 months; Suresh Kandala, 31, of Culpeper, Va., 18 months; Santosh Sama, 28, of Fremont, Calif., 24 months; Avinash Thakkallapally, 28, of Harrisburg, Pa., 15 months; Aswanth Nune, 26, of Atlanta, 12 months; Naveen Prathipati, 26, of Dallas, 12 months.
Prem Rampeesa, 27, was sentenced last week to one year in prison, though he has already served 295 days and will probably be released in two or three months and then deported back to India, his attorney Wanda Cal told the Free Press.
Phanideep Karnati, 35, of Louisville, will be sentenced in January 2020, the Free Press reported.
All eight recruiters will be deported once they have served their sentences, the U.S. attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Michigan said in an email.
The University of Farmington was created, ICE officials said in their statement, to provide the Department of Homeland Security with “first-hand evidence of fraud.”
“Undercover schools provide a unique perspective in understanding the ways in which students and recruiters try to exploit the non-immigrant student visa system,” ICE said in the statement.

But Rahul Reddy, a Texas attorney involved with these students’ cases, told the Detroit News that U.S. officials running the fake University of Farmington operation preyed upon unsuspecting students.
“They should not punish these people who were lured into a trap,” Reddy said. “These people can’t even defend themselves properly because they’re not given the same rights in deportation proceedings.”
As The Post has previously reported, prosecutors argued in the court documents unsealed earlier this year that the students were well aware that the school was a fraud. They allegedly chose to enroll anyway, because doing so would allow them to remain in the country on F-1 nonimmigrant 1 visas, which allow foreign citizens to temporarily reside in the United States while studying at accredited academic institutions.
Walls, the Detroit ICE spokesman, told local news station WXYZ in January that the students had entered the United States legally on F-1 visas after being accepted to legitimate schools and had later transferred to the University of Farmington.
The eight recruiters allegedly helped create fraudulent records, including transcripts, that students could give to immigration authorities. Authorities said in the original charging documents that they collectively accepted more than $250,000 in kickbacks for their work, not realizing that the payments were actually coming from undercover agents who worked for Homeland Security Investigations, a division of ICE.
The undercover operation, called Paper Chase, ran for several years before the January indictments.
The Detroit News reported that the fake university was set up in 2015 but that HSI agents didn’t begin posing as university officials until 2017, according to the indictment.

From the outside, the University of Farmington appeared legitimate, touting on its fake website the number of languages spoken by its president (four) and the number of classes taught by teaching assistants (zero). Photos of the campus showed students lounging around with books on a grassy quad or engaged in rapt conversation in its brightly lit modern library. Tuition was relatively reasonable — $8,500 a year for undergraduates and $11,000 a year for graduate students.
But there were no classes taking place at the university, which employed no instructors or professors. Its “campus” consisted of a small office in a corporate park in the northwestern Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills, Mich., with no quad or library in sight.
Prosecutors alleged that Farmington, which was set up by the government, was “being used by foreign citizens as a ‘pay to play’ scheme.” Students would pay thousands of dollars to the university, then provide immigration authorities with evidence that they were enrolled in a full-time educational program. They could then continue to live and work in the United States under a student visa.
The Department of Homeland Security’s list of certified schools where international students can enroll included the University of Farmington.
Reddy told the Free Press that the U.S. government “made a lot of money” off these foreign students.
In court last week, the attorney for Rampeesa, one of the student recruiters, said her client was “remorseful” and a “good person caught up in a bad situation,” the Free Press reported. He had initially come to the U.S. legally, reported the Free Press, and spent thousands of dollars to earn a master’s degree in 2016 from Northwestern Polytechnic University.
“He was desperate to find a way to stay in the United States,” Rampeesa’s attorney wrote in a sentencing memo, according to the Free Press.
Rampeesa believed he was working with university officials, though they were actually undercover immigration officials, the Free Press reported. He believed he was receiving tuition credits for recruiting other students, his attorney said.
“I am ashamed,” Rampeesa wrote in a letter that was read at his sentencing hearing, reported the Free Press. “I made a very bad decision,” he said, one that “bought shame to my family name.”
Corrections: An earlier version of this story cited reporting from the Detroit Free Press that said Rampeesa spent $40,000 on tuition and fees at Northwestern Polytechnic University. The University says its records account for less than $20,000. Additionally, Northwestern Polytechnic University did not lose its accreditation, as a previous version stated. Rather, the accrediting board that oversees it was derecognized by the federal government for two years.
